A video of the product in use, on the product page
What they do
A full-width video block sits between the gallery and the feature sections, playing the product in real use, with more video content in the gallery itself (the mat bag slide is a clip, not a still).
Why it works
Video shows what stills can't for this product: the grip holding under a moving body, the scale of the mat against a person. Time-on-page climbs when people press play, engagement signals improve, and the shopper gets closer to the try-before-you-buy feeling that physical retail has and ecommerce lacks. For a premium product, production quality itself carries a brand message.
Makes sense when
Products whose key claim is dynamic (grip, stretch, movement, sound, assembly). Host it lazily loaded so page speed doesn't pay for it, and keep it muted-autoplay or clearly poster-framed; a black rectangle with a play button earns fewer plays than a moving preview.
