Ready-made colour schemes you can add to the basket in one tap
What they do
A Colour Schemes carousel gives five made-up schemes built around the colour on the page. Each card is a small room diagram, wall in the shade itself, then a named trim colour and accent colour with numbers and swatches: Shaded White No.201 with Mouse's Back No.40, Jitney No.293 with Paean Black No.294, Shadow White No.282 with Scallop No.311, and so on. Under each card an Add Samples button drops the whole scheme into the basket rather than making the shopper find each colour and add it separately.
Why it works
A shopper who likes the green still has to build a room around it, and on a palette this size that's where the confidence runs out. Five finished answers replaces an open choice with a pick, and the diagram shows the proportions, which a row of swatches never does. The single button is what turns the idea into revenue, because three sample pots at £5.95 is a £17.85 basket from someone who arrived to look at one colour, and their standing three-for-two offer makes taking all three the obvious move. It also seeds the next order, since whoever buys the scheme samples is buying tins in three colours rather than one.
Makes sense when
Products bought as a set where the customer has to do the composing: paint, tiles, furniture ranges, cosmetics, plants. The build is the easy part, a scheme is three product references and an add-to-basket loop, but it lives or dies on someone with taste curating the sets. Auto-generating schemes from colour maths gives you combinations nobody wants.
