Picture links from a brand page to brand-by-category pages, each with its own intro and a breadcrumb back
What they do
Under the banner on the Little Dutch page sit four picture links: Baby, Clothing & Accessories, Toys, and Bikes & Trikes. Each one goes to its own page with a proper intro and a breadcrumb back to Little Dutch. The banner's a nice touch but not strictly necessary on mobile.
Why it works
Someone searching "Little Dutch clothing" lands on a page about exactly that, not 273 mixed products. Every one of those pages links back up to the main Little Dutch page through its breadcrumb. It's a pattern that already pays here: SE Ranking puts their Stokke YOYO3 and Cybex Priam pages in the site's top 30 for search traffic.
Makes sense when
You stock brands people search for by name, with enough range to split into three or four groups. Each page needs its own intro and a decent number of products. A brand-by-category page with two products in it is thinner than a filter.
